Penguin Book Cover Competition
For the Penguin Brief, the objective was to choose one of the three book titles given, and create a new and imaginative book cover concept to compete for the Student Design Award.
A winning design for this brief would need to hit certain marks to stand out from the rest. It must be an original interpretation of the brief and executed with a strong use of typography. It will also need to appeal to a broad audience for the book and show a good understanding of the marketplace.

I feel that I have created a unique a bold
design that stands out over the original covers and one which makes full use of the space through the large type. I wanted the finish with a design that coincides well with the genre of the book, as well as with le Carré as an author.
